Agentic AI: a new era for AI... but not without humans

A McKinsey study highlights six key lessons about this evolution of AI. The last of these, the sixth, particularly spoke to us:

Agentic AI cannot function without human supervision.

🧠 What is agentic AI?

Agentic AI marks a new stage in the evolution of generative AI.

Up until now, models were mainly capable of producing answers from the data they knew. Now, they can reason, plan and act more autonomously.

This approach, known as Agentic RAG(Retrieval-Augmented Generation), combines two logics:

  • augmented search, which enables AI to fetch the right information from a reliable database;
  • and an agentic logic, which enables it to assess the coherence and relevance of what it produces.

To put it plainly: agentic AI no longer "guesses", it thinks before it acts.

But as it gains in autonomy, a new challenge arises: what role can humans play in this evolution?

🧩 Why agentic AI still needs us

Even as it gains in autonomy, AI cannot evolve without human supervision.

As the McKinsey report underlines: agents will accomplish a great deal, but humans will remain essential for monitoring accuracy, ensuring compliance and managing borderline cases.

The challenge is not to do away with humans, but to redefine their role: designing, adjusting and guaranteeing the quality of the decisions made by AI.

The most effective systems are those in which people remain at the heart of the system, guaranteeing coherence, discernment and trust.

🤝 And what about you?

By adopting Klark, you're using an AI co-pilot based on the principles ofAgentic RAG: it searches for the most relevant information, checks for consistency and improves with human feedback.

But unlike fully autonomous AI, control remains in the hands of your support teams.

Your agents retain the final decision, and every interaction feeds collective learning.

It's our conviction: the future of customer support lies not in AI alone, but in collaboration between technology and human intelligence.

At Klark, we want to prove that AI can be advanced, measurable and profoundly human.
