Does your company use HubSpot, and are you looking for the best AI tool for your customer service team? 🤔 The short answer: it all depends on where your agents handle tickets.
If your support team uses HubSpot Service Hub, the native AI (Customer Agent) and several third-party tools can work directly within your tickets: Klark, eesel AI, Fin by Intercom, or Yuma. If HubSpot is only your CRM and support is handled through another help desk, you’ll need to integrate the AI with that help desk.
In this comparison, we explain both scenarios. We then review six HubSpot-compatible solutions for 2026, covering how they work, integration options, list prices, strengths, and limitations.
Let's go! 🚀
HubSpot is primarily known as a CRM. The company reports having more than 306,000 customers as of the end of June 2026. Many use it for marketing and sales. Some also use it for customer support, via Service Hub.
Before choosing an AI, identify your specific situation.
Your agents handle tickets in Service Hub (inbox, help desk, ticket pipelines). Therefore, the AI must read and respond within HubSpot.
Your options:
The Customer Agent native AI, or a third-party tool connected to Service Hub (Klark, eesel AI, Fin, Yuma).
Your agents work in Zendesk, Gorgias, Freshdesk, Intercom, or another tool. HubSpot is primarily used for marketing and sales.
Your options:
Integrate the AI with your help desk, where responses are drafted. And check how conversations are synced with HubSpot (contacts, notes, history).
Good to know: Customer Agent only works within HubSpot. If your tickets are hosted elsewhere, a third-party AI solution will often be simpler.
Service Hub is HubSpot's customer service module. It is billed per seat (per agent), with a setup fee for higher-tier plans.
Prices as of October 2026 on hubspot.com. The listed rates vary depending on the contract term: please check with the provider.
In plain English?
Service Hub does a great job of organizing support and linking it to the CRM history. But without AI, your agents are still the ones writing each response. And a large portion of the requests are repetitive: order tracking, returns, and questions about a subscription or an invoice.
AI can:
As with any help desk, there are two distinct approaches.
The AI responds directly to the customer and transfers the call to a human when it doesn't know how to handle the situation.
Ideal for:
High-volume, repetitive requests.
The AI prepares a response, which the agent reviews, adjusts, and then sends.
Ideal for:
Sensitive requests, high-value customers, premium brands.
The best solutions combine both approaches. You automate what can be automated, and you free up your agents to focus on the rest.
A few points of reference:
The message is clear: processing all tickets manually is becoming increasingly expensive compared to teams that rely on AI.
Here are the main compatible solutions, ranging from native options to specialized tools.
What it is:
HubSpot's AI agent, part of the Breeze suite. It responds to customers, resolves tickets, performs actions in the CRM, and forwards cases to your teams along with the context. It learns from your content (knowledge base, pages, documents).
Highlights :
Limits:
Price: 50 credits per resolved conversation (text channels), or approximately $0.50. Voice calls are billed at 50 credits per minute. Additional credits: $0.01 each or $10 for 1,000. Prices as of 2026; please check with the publisher.
Example:
The 3,000 credits included in Service Hub Professional are enough to cover about 60 resolved conversations per month, assuming they are used for nothing else.
Who is it for?
Companies already on Service Hub Professional or Enterprise that want to stay 100% HubSpot.
What it is:
A French generative AI platform based in Bordeaux, designed for retail and e-commerce brands. Klark integrates with HubSpot as well as most helpdesks on the market. It’s therefore a viable option in both cases: support within HubSpot or on another helpdesk.
Three complementary building blocks:
Highlights :
Limits:
Client result:
At Upway, 80% of the requests received by the chatbot are automated, representing approximately 45% of the total Level 1 volume.
Price: flat-rate subscription + €0.50 per successfully processed ticket. A ticket is billed only once, even if Klark drafts multiple responses.
Who is it for?
E-commerce and retail brands—particularly those in Europe—that want to automate without sacrificing the quality of their responses or the human touch.
What it is:
Intercom's AI agent, which you can use without leaving your helpdesk. Fin connects to HubSpot via OAuth: it syncs your articles and customer data, handles email and chat tickets (via Fin Messenger), and then forwards them to your agents in HubSpot along with the full conversation.
Highlights :
Limits:
Price: $0.99 per result (resolution, transfer via a procedure, etc.), with a minimum of 50 results per month. Qualifications: $9.99. Prices as of 2026; please check with the publisher.
Who is it for?
SaaS and tech teams looking for a mature, autonomous agent without switching helpdesks. For a comparison, see our article “Klark vs. Intercom.”
What it is:
An AI layer that connects to HubSpot Service Hub (Starter, Professional, and Enterprise plans) via OAuth. It acts as an agent within HubSpot: reading tickets, responding to them, creating internal notes, and updating properties and pipelines.
Highlights :
Limits:
Pricing: Free trial with 100 credits, then $299/month for 500 credits up to $1,749/month for 5,000 credits (one ticket ≈ one credit). Additional credits cost $0.80 each. Prices as of 2026; please check with the publisher.
Who is it for?
SMEs on Service Hub Starter that do not have access to Customer Agent.
What it is:
A Shopify-specialized AI agent. Its integrations page lists “HubSpot Help Desk,” which allows you to resolve email conversations right in the inbox your team already uses.
Highlights :
Limits:
Price: starting at $14,400/year (12-month commitment). Official pricing: Starter at $14,400/year (approximately $1.20 per resolution, 12,000 resolutions/year), Growth at $40,000/year (approximately $0.83), Scale at $90,000/year (approximately $0.75). Only completed resolutions are billed. Prices as of 2026; please verify with the publisher.
Who is it for?
DTC e-commerce brands whose priority is to automate as many conversations as possible independently, and which manage their email support in HubSpot. Yuma claims that up to 89% of conversations are resolved independently (figure provided by the publisher).
What it is:
A chat and chatbot solution for small businesses, featuring an AI agent named Lyro. Tidio does not replace Service Hub: its HubSpot integration syncs contacts (email, name, phone number) and records each resolved conversation as a note on the contact.
Highlights :
Limits:
Pricing: Free plan (50 conversations), then Starter starting at $24.17/month and Growth starting at $49.17/month with annual billing. Lyro starting at $32.50/month for 50 AI conversations. Prices as of 2026; please check with the publisher.
Who is it for?

That's the first question to ask. If your agents work in Service Hub, choose an AI that reads and responds within HubSpot. Otherwise, connect the AI to your help desk and make sure conversations are synced to the CRM.
Customer Agent requires the Professional or Enterprise plan, which includes onboarding fees and a minimum commitment per seat. On the Free or Starter plans, a third-party AI is often the only realistic option.
If your brand prioritizes strong customer relationships, start with a co-pilot. You can then expand automation to areas you’ve mastered.
Credits, results, tickets, successes: compare them on an equal basis. Check what triggers billing and what happens when a human takes over.
Test it on your actual tickets. Compare the tone, accuracy, and handling of edge cases. Track your CSAT before and after.
If you sell in France or Europe, test the quality in French and your other languages. See our guide on multilingual customer service.
List where your requests come in: email, chat, forms, social media, phone. And where they are processed: HubSpot or another tool.
Identify the 10 most common reasons for customer contact. In e-commerce, order tracking almost always tops the list.
An AI cannot create your return policy. Update the HubSpot Knowledge Base, your response templates, and your terms and conditions.
Run the AI in draft or co-pilot mode for a few weeks. Your agents will review and correct the output, and you'll be able to measure its actual quality.
Implement automation for issues you've mastered, then track the automation rate, CSAT, FCR, and cost per ticket.
"The AI is going to give my clients all kinds of nonsense answers."
Not if you start off on the right foot. Co-pilot mode lets you review each response before sending it. And the more serious support teams escalate to a human as soon as they have any doubts.
"I have to upgrade to Professional to get AI."
For Customer Agent, yes. But several third-party tools work with Service Hub Starter or on another help desk if HubSpot is just your CRM.
"I don't understand HubSpot credits at all."
You're not alone. Try this calculation: number of conversations × 50 credits, minus the credits included in your plan. Then compare that to an AI service billed per ticket or per successful resolution.
"Switching tools means months of work on the project."
Not with an AI that integrates with your current help desk. You keep HubSpot, your pipelines, and your routines.
Does HubSpot have AI for customer service?
Yes. Customer Agent, part of the Breeze suite, responds to customers and resolves tickets in HubSpot. It requires a Professional or Enterprise plan.
How much will Customer Agent cost in 2026?
HubSpot charges 50 credits per resolved conversation on text-based channels, which is approximately $0.50. Service Hub Professional includes 3,000 credits per month, and Enterprise includes 5,000.
Can we use third-party AI with HubSpot Service Hub?
Yes. Klark, eesel AI, Fin d'Intercom, and Yuma integrate with HubSpot so you can handle tickets without leaving the tool.
I use HubSpot as my CRM but Zendesk for support: Which AI should I choose?
Connect the AI to Zendesk, where your agents respond to inquiries. Klark, for example, integrates with Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, and other helpdesks. Then see how the conversations are synced to HubSpot.
Which AI tool should I choose on Service Hub Starter?
Customer Agent isn't available there. Try a third-party AI that's compatible with Starter, and test it on your actual tickets.
Klark was designed for customer service teams in retail and e-commerce. Here's what sets it apart:
Support in HubSpot or on another help desk: AI integrates right where your agents work.
The AI learns from your ticket history. No need to design a workflow or maintain a scenario.
Start by supporting your agents, then automate when you're ready.
You pay only for the tickets that are actually processed, with no credits to keep track of. A ticket is never billed twice.
A 50% increase in productivity and an average of 43% of tickets automated among our clients.
Brands such as ba&sh, Chantelle, Christofle, and NV Gallery have already placed their trust in us. As for awards, we’ve won the Online Experience Trophy at the Tech for Retail trade show (2024) and the Jury’s Favorite Award at One to One Monaco (2025).
